The Unreal, Eerie Emptiness of China’s Replicas of Famous Landmarks

The question remains: What is China’s fetish with replicas of famous landmarks? What is the reason behind the erecting of world’s famous landmarks? No one seems to have an answer, but, China continues to put vast amounts of money into the building of “ghost cities” and famous landmarks.

At a time when much of the Chinese population does not have the means to purchase a home, China builds houses that are out of the reach of a majority of the Chinese population to own a home. Hence, there are buildings upon buildings that are uninhabited and just sit there unoccupied.

It is believed that China is heading for a time of economic collapse, the likes of which has not been seen anywhere. Anyone with a good reason for the direction of the Chinese government policy regarding its current policy is welcome news. At the moment, no one seems able to posit a good answer.
